The Sonoma County Historical Society has been working to preserve our rich historical heritage since 1962. We have taken a leadership role in:

the preservation of historic structures, the fragile and irreplaceable reminders of our past, that would otherwise not be saved for future generations

the publication of unique books and articles about regional history

efforts with other historical societies, museums, and libraries in the county to share resources and work towards preservation of our regional heritage
